Terms & Conditions

1. Participation Requirements

  • All participants must be medically fit to dive and disclose any relevant medical conditions before training begins.
  • A current diving medical may be required if you answer “Yes” to any conditions on the standard medical questionnaire.
  • Participants must follow all instructions given by instructors, divemasters, and safety staff at all times.

2. Safety & Personal Responsibility

  • Scuba diving involves inherent risks. While every effort is made to ensure safety, participants accept that they are engaging in an activity that carries risk of injury.
  • You agree to use equipment responsibly, follow safe diving practices, and immediately inform staff of any concerns or issues during training.

3. Equipment Use

  • Club‑owned equipment is provided in good working order.
  • You are responsible for the care of any equipment you use and may be charged for loss or damage caused by misuse or negligence.
  • Personal equipment must be suitable for training and in safe working condition.

4. Payments & Refunds

  • Course fees must be paid in full before training begins unless otherwise agreed.
  • Refunds are not issued once training materials have been accessed or pool/open‑water sessions have been scheduled.
  • If you cancel more than 5 days before your first session, a partial refund may be considered at the club’s discretion.
  • Missed sessions without notice may incur re‑booking fees.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • The club reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to weather, instructor availability, pool closures, or safety concerns.
  • If the club cancels a session, an alternative date will be offered.
  • Open‑water dives are weather‑dependent and may be moved at short notice.

6. Photographs & Media Use

  • Photographs and videos may be taken during training sessions, club events, and trips for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials.
  • If you do not wish to appear in any images, please inform an instructor before the session begins.
  • Anyone opting out will be added to our “no‑photography” list, and any accidental images will be deleted immediately upon request.

7. DBS / Safeguarding

  • All instructors and staff working with under‑18s or vulnerable adults hold Enhanced DBS checks in line with safeguarding requirements.
  • Parents/guardians must remain on‑site for junior training unless agreed otherwise.

8. Behaviour & Conduct

  • Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.
  • The club reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
  • No refund will be issued in cases of removal due to misconduct.

9. Liability

  • By participating, you acknowledge that scuba diving carries inherent risks and agree not to hold the club, its instructors, or volunteers liable for injuries arising from non‑compliance with safety instructions or misuse of equipment.
  • This does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Acceptance of Terms

  • By registering for a course or participating in club activities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
