This ‘first step’ across the threshold from advanced recreational into the realm of technical diving is a three-cylinder course: two primaries (a twinest or sidemount) plus one stage bottle filled with a decompression gas to optimise off-gassing during a staged, optimised ascent. The decompression gas can be any reasonable mixture, including 100% oxygen.
Available in three options: 40m air and nitrox, 45m air and nitrox or 45m air, nitrox and trimix.
Minimum of 1 confined water dive and 5 open water dives.
Nitrox and Trimix gases incur an extra cost to cover both the student and instructor.
Prerequisites:
Be at least 18 years old.
30 hours logged or 25 dives,
Deep, Nitrox and Sidemount or Twinset certified.

The Decompression course is your entry point into technical diving, The RAID Way™. It is part of our redesigned Open Circuit courses that take divers beyond recreational scuba diving’s traditional NDL time limits, giving access to more bottom time and the beginning steps into staged decompression diving.

TECHNICAL OC PATHWAY
The primary focus of this course is equipment management, decompression planning, and incorporating advanced communications and contingency planning into dive operations. As always in RAID programs, safety and developing a solid platform of performance and comfort based on gear selection and management, trim, buoyancy, and propulsion.
While this course is an achievement in itself, it also serves as preparation to prepare the diver to go forward along our Tech Pathway and be part of advanced operations and expeditions.
